Information about our Poly Mailing Bags and how they are manufactured
Grey Mailing Bags
This very popular range of grey mailing bags are manufactured using 3-layer co-extruded film. The polythene film is manufactured from at least 25% post-consumer waste and is also 100% Oxo-Biodegradable.
Oxo-Biodegradable plastic is made by blending a pro-degradent additive into the plastic during manufacture. This additive degrades the polythene film, encouraging the plastic to break down in the environment. The degradation time varies depending on the amount of exposure to degradation promoters (sunlight, heat etc) When exposed, these mailing bags can break down into biodegradable matter in 8-12 months (as opposed to decades or even centuries for other plastics!)
All our grey mailing bags are at least 45-micron in thickness. the inside of the bags are opaque so that you cannot see through the film. the high specification of grey film has been chosen to give the best performance-to-weight ratio by reducing your postage costs yet ensuring delivery of your products in good condition. A unique grade of hot-melt glue used for sealing the mailing bags means that once they are sealed, you will have to rip the mailing bag open to get at the contents. The manufacturing process means that there may be a slight initial odour to the bags on first use, but this disappears quickly upon use and is completely harmless.
Pink Mailing Bags
Our Pink mailing bags are very popular INDEED. Not only are they a nice bright eye-catching vibrant colour, they are also very lightweight, therefore reducing your postage costs.
These mailing bags are 100% recyclable. They are manufactured using a special 3-layer co-extruded film. They are pink on the outside, with a middle unseen layer of white and then grey on the inside of the bag.
The pink mailing bags are manufactured with a thickness of at least 50-microns. they are very lightweight but still retain great puncture-resistance and strength. They are glossy on the outside, but have been specially treated so that the glue on the closure lip sticks permanently and securely, and so that labels, stamps etc can be affixed securely.
Blue Mailing Bags
Our Bright Blue mailing bags are very popular. Not only are they a nice bright eye-catching vibrant colour, they are also very lightweight, therefore reducing your postage costs.

White Mailing Bags
These White non-see-through mailing bags are 100% Recyclable and are manufactured with a thickness of at least 45 microns. Ideal for mail order, courier services, or where confidentiality is important. they are manufactured from 3 layers of polythene film, making them extremely robust. They are glossy white on the outside, with a middle unseen layer, and then a black inner, ensuring there is no chance of any contents being identified through them.
The manufacturing process of these white mailing bags makes them extremely tough, offering excellent tear- and puncture-resistance. With a unique type of hot melt glue for the sealing strip, once they are sealed, they are sealed! Bags can be address with labels and stamps, or even a biro!
