  • Brown Sealing Tape

    Brown Sealing Tape

48mm x 66 metres Colour: Brown Material: Polypropylene Premium adhesive/tensile strength Performs in a range of temperatures Smooth unwind quality, strongly seals to surfaces. Resists breakage and seam-splitting during applications   Very useful for a variety of different applications, sealing tape is most commonly used for sealing cardboard boxes. This sealing tape is manufactured using a strong adhesive, making it's tough durability a perfect partner to use for shipping or storing parcels.  This tape is a polypropylene-based tape that works great in a variety of different circumstances. This sealing tape works well in a wide range of temperatures, ensuring your confidence that your parcel will stay safely sealed. Ideal for securing and sealing boxes, parcels and other packages, this tape provides strong, waterproof adhesion to help protect items in transit. It is easy to be flippant about the humble roll of sealing tape, but humans have been trying to create sealants for an awfully long time! There's records dating back to 4,000BC of earthenware pots being sealed with tree resin sap. By 2,000BC there are written instructions on how to make your own fish glue (not really recommended these days!) but the first patent for an adhesive was issued in 1750 in Great Britain, made of fish glue! Thankfully fish glue is not a "thing" these days! The first appearance of adhesive tape was in 1845, and was used primarily by forward-thinking surgeons of the day. The Sealing Tape offered here is a pressure-sensitive adhesive coated onto a polypropylene film. The tape can be applied by hand or with a tape gun. Simply by running your hand over the applied tape, you can ensure the pressure-sensitive adhesive is properly applied so the tape stays in place.

  • Tape Gun

    Tape Gun

Ergonomic Pistol Grip Takes tape rolls up to 50mm Easy to use   Fits all 50mm sealing tapes. Holds tape up to 50mm (2") wide on a 3" core. Easy to dispense the tape with just one hand. SImply apply the tape end, roll the tape gun across the carton, tilt the tape gun and cut - it's that easy! Intuitive pistol-grip handle. Never struggle to find the end of the roll (or end up cutting it with your teeth!) again. Designed for comfort and ease of use   Before tape guns were invented, tape came from a roll that was peeled from the end and cut with scissors (it's still perfectly acceptable to do this, even cutting with a knife!) The tape gun was invented in 1932 by John Barden who worked at 3M. It had a built-in cutting mechanism and would hold the cut end of the tape ready until it's next use ... and hasn't changed that principle after all these years!
