Is eco-friendly packaging really better than traditional packaging?
The concept of eco-friendly and sustainable packaging only became a reality at the end of the 20th Century. But in the 25 years of this Century, there is now an urgent need for us to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible. Some packaging solutions, like using pre-loved cardboard boxes, are obvious. Other solutions are through constantly evolving manufacturing techniques. Every single eco-friendly packaging solution found at Box Depot has been thoroughly tested and evaluated to ensure, firstly, that it is indeed just as protective as it’s traditional alternative. And secondly that it is as sustainable as possible.
Is choosing eco-friendly packaging going to be more expensive?
Not at all! In fact, our pre-loved cardboard boxes are substantially cheaper than brand new boxes! A big factor in the products that Box Depot offers is affordability. We believe that just because you choose sustainable packaging it shouldn’t cost the earth … and that includes your wallet!
Are your delivery methods sustainable?
We don’t just deliver our orders sustainably, we also pack them sustainably – all the orders we ship are wrapped in biodegradable plastic (it is rainy Ireland after all!) Box Depot will choose the best method to get your order delivered to you – Fastway and An Post both have a growing EV fleet while Xpect Couriers also have a growing fleet of delivery bicycles!
