This Bubble Wrap is ideal for protecting both heavy and lightweight items on long-distance trips, interleaving, cushioning, and filling up empty spaces! This flexible tear-resistant plastic packaging with air-filled bubbles provides soft cushioning with tough protection. A perfect combination of protection and cushioning, Bubble Wrap provides your items with the reliable protection they need. Experience the convenience and peace of mind with this tough yet gentle packaging.
Specifications:
This 10 metre roll is ideal for occasional home use - enough to wrap the fragile items from a room or two, or to protect a few items being posted.
The small bubbles provide excellent cushioning while keeping the overall package lightweight, and a barrier film layer reduces air escape for longer-lasting protection.
Key Features:
Made with a 30% recycled content co-extruded film compared with polyethylene-only non-barrier bubble wrap, it contributes to resource reduction by providing better protection with less plastic material. Due to it's recycled content, rather than being completely clear, there may be a slight grey tint to the bubble wrap.
This bubble wrap can be recycled, although some waste recyclers may not currently be in a position to do so. It is worth checking with your waste/bin collector before putting it in your green bin.
Bubble wrap was originally invented in 1957 by Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes (who went on to set up Sealed Air Corporation) as a type of wallpaper. Unsurprisingly it didn't sell well as wallpaper! But it did sell as greenhouse insulation (which was a very forward-thinking, eco-friendly, sustainable thing to do in the 1960s!) Eventually it was realised that bubble wrap could be used as protective packaging, and it's current use as protective packaging was discovered.
