Bubble Wrap is a tried-and-trusted packing material.
Versatile
Because it is so flexible, bubble wrap is a very versatile packing material. It can protect everything from glasses and plates to pieces of furniture.
Protective
Because bubble wrap is made of air-filled pockets trapped between two sheets of plastic, it is extremely cushioning, especially against the knocks, shocks and impacts that can happen when items are being transported.
Cost-Effective
Bubble wrap is very lightweight. If you are shipping items, it can be a very cost-effective solution to keeping your shipping costs down.
Eco Friendly
It is a Fact Of Life that bubble wrap is made of plastic. But improved manufacturing techniques mean that the bubble wrap you get at Box Depot is made from a minimum 30% post-consumer plastic waste, making it more eco-friendly than others in the market. Since 2021, bubble wrap can also be recycled through your home/green wheelie bin.

Technical advances in the manufacturing process means that bubble wrap can now be manufactured with post-consumer waste plastic, usually at least 30%. How much bubble wrap you require depends on what you are trying to wrap. Remember that bubble wrap is primarily a cushioning product so often benefits from more than one layer wrapping items. The most popular size of bubble wrap at Box Depot is 500mm wide and we offer lengths of 10 metres, 20 metres and 100 metres to suit all requirements.
When you receive your bubble wrap, you will notice that one side is flat while the other is ridged with bubbles. For maximum cushioning protection, it is recommended to wrap your items with the bubbles facing inwards. It is also advised that when wrapping your items in bubble wrap, it should be in a clean area as any dust, grit or debris could get trapped within the bubble wrap layers and damage your items within the wrapping.
