The Sweed CE-250 solves this problem simply and efficiently: feed the strapping into the machine and it’s chopped into short 66mm pieces in seconds, reducing the volume by up to 1/30th of the original size and making it safe to handle, easy to bin and straightforward to transport for recycling.
The CE-250 is the entry-level model in the Sweed range - ideal for workplaces that receive a moderate number of pallets or boxes sealed with pallet strapping and want a reliable, low-maintenance solution to keep the work floor tidy and their team safe. It handles plastic PET strapping with ease, processing each strap at a feed rate of 41 metres per minute. Single phase 220V power means no specialist electrical installation is required - just plug in and go.
The cutting mechanism uses 1 fixed and 1 rotating knife, mounted in a cast iron flywheel assembly for durability and consistent cut quality. CE certified for compliance with European safety regulations. Supplied with a manual in English and a range of other languages.

The environmental case
If you use steel strapping, chopping it means your waste collections carry physical material rather than air ... dramatically reducing the number of transport movements needed! If you use PET strapping, the chopped pieces can be recycled into new strapping material, saving up to 75% of the CO₂ cost compared to producing virgin PET.
