The Sweed CE-513 was redesigned specifically for these environments, with a 12mm sheet steel housing that withstands the kind of punishment that would damage lighter machines. It’s the step up from the 510 XHD for operations that need industrial-grade durability alongside high-volume processing capability.
The CE-513 handles an exceptionally wide range of materials - PET strapping of any size in large quantities, steel strapping with clips, metal bars, pipes, extrusions, light cables and high-strength packing wire - making it a versatile choice for facilities that deal with multiple types of scrap rather than a single material stream.
The feed mechanism opens via a manual lever for quick, easy access. For higher-volume or hands-free operation, a pneumatic control with foot pedal is available on request. A magnetic starter protects operators from unexpected restarting after a power loss ... an important safety feature in any industrial setting.
The environmental case
Chopped pieces are reduced to approximately 75mm lengths - compact enough to store in a standard bin and straightforward to transport for recycling. Every kilogram of PET recycled into new strap material saves up to 75% of the CO₂ cost of virgin PET production — equivalent to 4.3kg of CO₂ ... or driving a car for 40km, per kilogram recycled.
